My name is Melissa Garcia. I am a freelance designer & illustrator who specializes in branding and design. It’s what I love to do and it’s kind of my passion. When I’m not designing, I’m usually reading, working on products for my online store, pretending to be a Top Chef superstar, and spending time with good friends and family.

I was really thinking how can someone get acquainted with you, without never having met. Well usually you can call a friend a true friend when you are able to confess something that no one else knows. So here goes…

When I was 8, I went to Big Ben National Park with my entire family. Along the trail there are these wooden posts that outline the path you are following. And I have no idea why but I somehow got it into my head that I was going to climb up and sit on this wooden log which was almost as tall as I was. Somehow… I can’t even remember how, I got up on the log and let me tell you I felt like the most awesome 8 year old in the world. Why this was so awesome to me back then, I have no idea. But any ways that’s not the story. Lets continue…

Well I was having the greatest time up there, mostly because I had accomplished getting up there all by myself.  That me in all my glory ended up losing my balance and falling backwards into none other than a pile of prickly cactus. Needless to say that was a pretty awful experience. And also something that only my close family & friends know.
