Artist Inspiration: Brian Rea

18 Nov

Great post over at Fast Company on illustrator Brian Rea’s mural work. He has two murals, one is a collection of his fears and the fears/worries of the people around him. He then sectioned the fears/worries out into different categories; physical fears, supernatural fears, political fears, random, and emotional. The other mural focuses on one of his greatest fears: UFO’s. After spending months researching the topic, he illustrated different UFO sightings and the dates/places that they happened. Both murals were done with white chalk and paint and took approximately 13 days to complete.

Love the colorful geometric-meets-organic works of Mark Warren Jacques, a painter, illustrator + self-proclaimed “optimistic amateur philosopher.” Each piece is vibrant and stunning, I would love to own one and hang it up in my home.
